Stamping Dreams August Blog Hop - Holiday Catalog Sneak Peaks

Welcome to the Stamping Dreams Aug. 2019 blog hop. You are currently visiting For the Love of Stamping (Tracie St-Louis) from Ottawa, Ontario Canada!

Our theme this month is Holiday Catalog Sneak Peaks! You are going to love this catalog - so many amazing and wonderful items. I love that as a demonstrator I get to pre-purchase items from the new catalog a month prior to its release to the public!  New stamps, new dies, new DSP and new accessories - LOVE IT!  If you live in the Ottawa area and would like a copy of the holiday catalog, leave me a comment and let me know how I can reach you so I can send you one.

So here is what I have created for you. It features the following new items from the holiday catalog:
  • Christmas Gleaming stamp set & coordinating ornament punches
  • Christmas Layers Dies
  • Holiday Rhinestone basic jewels
  • Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP
  • Classic Weave Ribbon (Merry Christmas)
To make this card you will also need:
  • Night of Navy, Pretty Peacock, Shimmery White & Very Vanilla card stock
  • Copper foil paper, Copper embossing powder
  • Clear Wink of Stella
  • Rectangle Stitched Dies
  • Versamark, Pretty Peacock & Mossy Meadow ink
  • Heat tool
  • Die cutting machine
To make my card, start with a navy card base and layer Pretty Peacock on top (I have stamped the holly from Christmas Gleaming in Pretty Peacock ink first).
  • Cut a stitched rectangle from vanilla card stock
  • Stamp the greeting in Versamark and emboss with copper embossing powder --> adhere with dimensionals to card base.
  • Stamp 2 Mossy Meadow holly branches on shimmery white card stock and blend with a clear Wink of Stella - fussy cut both. Color the berries with the Wink of Stella and Pretty Peacock ink
  • Die cut the branch from the Christmas Layers Dies in copper foil paper --> adhere to top of rectangle
  • Punch 2 ornaments from the Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP with the the longer style ornament using the Gleaming Ornaments punch pack.
  • Adhere 1 ornament directly to the vanilla rectangle
  • Adhere the other with dimensionals to the vanilla rectangle - overlapping the bottom ornament
  • Adhere a holly branch with berries to the top of each ornament
  • Place a light blue rhinestone from the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels on the dot above the "j" in the greeting.
I hope you enjoyed seeing my card. Now hop on over to the next Stampin' Dreams blog hop post by Pia Gerhardt.
