Only 2 weeks away and I hadn't made any Easter cards! Now for some time I have been wanting to create a rocker card but it wasn't until I saw this technique demonstrated by Claire Ottaway that I finally made one! It is the perfect card for Easter and I can't wait to send it out. </span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://s.tamp.in/OrjR_d" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" target="_blank"><img alt="Easter Bonnet Rocker Card" border="0" data-original-height="1976" data-original-width="2066" height="383" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitlcefgTRc0C8l-Yd1NkRYrs_aBxB8qEvVpBeqaMjUX7lAQZkChApjvBXuN79H2o81r_mcP3cfgGbTeR5YWvqha_wKhRjkRrBLeHMnceHQXoJdZxjViTYJyVAv1Pdl5ozVUdYGnvDNT6J0_btKSxEk8VGg5xqFt-b2WPIZnWOGV1yP0Dthxky8fvwKxUgy/w400-h383/Easter%20Bonnet%20Rocker.png" title="Easter Bonnet Rocker Card" width="400" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: medium;">To make this fun rocker card you will need:</span><div><ul style="text-align: left;"><li><span style="font-size: medium;">Deckled Circle Dies</span></li><li><span style="font-size: medium;">Embossing folder - for the texture - Stippled is used here</span></li><li><span style="font-size: medium;">Paper Florist Dies</span></li><li><span style="font-size: medium;">Oval Punch</span></li><li><span style="font-size: medium;">2022 - 2024 Pearls</span></li><li><span style="font-size: medium;">Ribbon - 3/8" Grosgrain used here</span></li></ul></div><div><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: medium;">Have a happy Easter</span><p></p><p><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: medium;">Hugs Tracie</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.stampinup.ca/?demoid=2002653" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" target="_blank"><img border="0" data-original-height="375" data-original-width="764" height="98" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhc2dIOVhjKVAptCaEh6Dz7asSaWCCS8ooGEeoSusgXTdHDr_TzwcRxGriebT6qjn3SDzzlHtOorKSqlZHPMgjbNHt1JOJ5NAyPMEiudmr3szeV4sCXIsGoY1-jBrLtOmq_2zlJT9-a9Re9yNp9WsQvpwZ4sEg15mhX0vlkEpWzLxrQ4ufe7YP5kIuec7Qi/w200-h98/Shop.jpg" width="200" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: medium;"><br /></span><p></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></p></div>Tracie St-Louis - Silver Elite<br>Stampin' Up! I have so many and I love it when I find a new one! Here is a fun take on an accordion style card that I saw on a blog post from Maria José Vargas. </span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://s.tamp.in/pW32Cz" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" target="_blank"><span style="font-size: medium;"><img alt="Accordian Fold" border="0" data-original-height="325" data-original-width="865" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQ3lpWH65Kav3kgkLvx370IOWfqbwGLf2KnllD0PJQuYeadcoAT9MsZ8gO5G6RypZQDa0GbCQz3HpJ19XaezhSUnpCmZxc5VrOx2KuLyDE8JehdJcGJFNjqxWMOHRyZRtRgQ16Ad1nk5zyXhV4yUifVyMsHUIk5HUZXvSpwej8l2y1O54DNtrtG1AsK7U1/w640-h240/Flight%20and%20Airy.png" title="Flight and Airy Accordian Fold" width="640" /></span></a></div><p><span style="font-size: medium;">The card features designer series paper on both sides of the fold. Why didn't I think of that? What I have learned over the years as a Stampin' Up! demo is that there I will always find new & surprising ways of doing things.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">With all the layers of paper, I found that the card wouldn't stay closed so I created a belly band to hold the card together. The Thoughtful Expression dies are TO DIE FOR!! WOW the scalloped edges give these dies such an elegant look and when combined with the Flight and Airy DSP it is magical! So soft and dainty!</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">The base of the card measures 11" x 5 1/2" and the scoring is at 1 1/2", 3 1/2" 6 3/4". The rest is just layering cardstock.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Happy stamping!</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Leave me a comment below ~ I would love to here your thoughts!</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Hugs, Tracie</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.stampinup.ca/?demoid=2002653" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" target="_blank"><img border="0" data-original-height="343" data-original-width="733" height="94" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSEHhPuKErab83X06cuoQ_khGYqJF9G7nf1SfED7-7HoOMSaVIVFOtVX6-IeAmZAJz1rSsw1SL6NYE1IRq6do4X6lhLtrn8cZ-IlLgIfSyYxnbHSMS9isWz7w7I_-zvPBSSCzf7s_f881HPTuUAkh1TYYPicFvNw35RlK3Yz9NRJEdXuu-ywUMZX_hyWJL/w200-h94/Shop%20With%20Me.png" width="200" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p><br /><br /><p></p>Tracie St-Louis - Silver Elite<br>Stampin' Up! Look at the detail that pops on the Softly Sophisticated embossed image! Using 2 colours and overlapping them gives you a whole new colour! Here I blended Tahitian Tide and Orchid Oasis to make a pretty darker purple - love it! Try it out - you will be amazed with the various results you will get!</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.stampinup.ca/?demoid=2002653" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" target="_blank"><img border="0" data-original-height="2414" data-original-width="2070" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZxlYwFQOB2DWlLjTtqnNbH5O6CcWIDjiAFWNq3aTVyDsrQu50AMQsDRyJPlcYI9ZiBdsplR9OqPqFCyalVD3SVJzgug8dY3S2TKBZ0E-jusj_XX91WwGFVBZB0jz10V1aCx51tiu8ZH8tmN8ncQ9GyowH0Y-yQerJ1pevOPU7qIXIb8oziBCFgu1tbP5t/s320/Softly%20Sophisticated%202.png" width="274" /></a></div><p><br /></p><span style="font-size: large;">Try using a single colour like I have here on this card. Welcome to my paper crafting blog. I have a fun fold card to share with you today using Perennial Lavender DSP. Such pretty designer series paper from Stampin' Up! Sometimes I think it is too pretty to cut but I bit the bullet and dove in.</span></span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://s.tamp.in/KBbJCz" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" target="_blank"><span style="font-size: large;"><img alt="Perennial Lavender" border="0" data-original-height="2461" data-original-width="2070" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjq_9fI5azycoz_3FmtRWiw8Dkx0CrlvTHSL6p-N-pq5yI3psYwU3pR0CVweGzXmn0HJzygKOFt6_Tjada7TA5VCwE1XUo5p9PvN8_ory_us2t3lOGEnvGGb_JcLplWxBojkNqAz6emFNXTq7l3uFnmzSQUS2Zf6h40tlHsmZyW0qkdxtOmSMhSuwmFNFuP/w269-h320/Lavender%20Explosion%20Front%202.png" title="Perennial Lavender Explosion Card" width="269" /></span></a></div><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: large;">An explosion card is a 3D style card. When you open the card a little surprise pop out appears. Once you get the hang of the the pop out the rest is easy-peasy.</span><p></p><p><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: large;">The front of my card features a new item from the Jan - April mini SU catalogue - the Paper Butterflies. Layering masks have been on the market for at least 2 years now. It is great to see that Stampin' Up has bundled the masks with the coordinating stamps and dies.</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://s.tamp.in/UXM6Xf" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" target="_blank"><img alt="Enduring Beauty Layering Stencils" border="0" data-original-height="2432" data-original-width="2070" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkRBKRh72HYlPsRp4TNpb0Jmkv4C0rgi-l9MllrUyhw5u_aC1EB6o6Fqvd0DsB7L8ZaeYFVTd09xoIgD6Zv2O2iugb3uUv6UZa5CNPvWYmS9N2M_ou7Ls2WWevayRxME089Gi5jdVIGTgvz5ewCxB1os7d30n42LQ7dq__PXEhS8sPkCi23XQT4DhQMrQW/w340-h400/Enduring%20Beauty.png" title="Enduring Beauty" width="340" /></a></div><span style="font-size: medium;">Layering stencils are easy to use. Start by stamping the image and then layer each stencil, one at a time, over the stamped image and ink blend your colours.</span><p></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">I started with Highland Heather blending <b>very lightly</b>. Then I removed the 1st stencil and place the 2nd over the image and ink blended with Boho Blue. How pretty is the blended colour? With the 2nd stencil still in place I then overlayed some additional Highland Heather. So pretty.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">There is a 3rd "flower layer" stencil that adds additional layers to the center but I chose not to use it as I love it the way it is. </span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">The leaves are ink blended with 2 stencils and 2 colours. I started with Parakeet Party and then moved to the 2nd stencil with Granny Apple Green.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Also on this card I have used a new embossing folder - Layered Florals 3D - this is the white layer. And then finished the card with some new Purple Fine Shimmer gems.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">See all the <b><span style="color: #0000ee;"><a href="https://s.tamp.in/UXM6Xf" target="_blank">products here</a>.</span></b></span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">Happy stamping.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">Hugs, Tracie </span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.stampinup.ca/?demoid=2002653" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" target="_blank"><img border="0" data-original-height="365" data-original-width="754" height="97" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjrmxO-huikwjW1dLIMwJP6CEkr81nUIhn2xBr2wvMWw3HpOTojfJ2U0CfpsvvZtzsNvA8N4rnbPK0fKp3GZu9FbESd6TbkoTVe4Hqk3Akx_FiOqpY7t3xqmR-_151l0rAXCWmuDkvemBMZGNdNgUdvIJEndaHdcHWzcgllJIugFGlGM4EehGVI2NG2hkH8/w200-h97/Shop.png" width="200" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span><p></p>Tracie St-Louis - Silver Elite<br>Stampin' Up! Well now that Christmas is over it's time to get started on my 2024 card projects. </span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.stampinup.ca/products/layered-florals-3d-embossing-folder?demoid=2002653" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;" target="_blank"><img alt="Layered Floral 3D Embossing Folder" border="0" data-original-height="3460" data-original-width="2597" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEij-no29gZ0g-TJLG7rBRqmbtQvFrwL1BugNS6WtBQ1P55qOvPfBFyZ0IZLifTj6LzMvdAfqMKKt12fbkeL2C1zLMB9J33Qeunrbr0a8bDYgSSBli27S8szDidDAC6GZA3mIvuoJ7zAnHxE-qFI2AlLUQdWFQ1enH78tgr6QFvbxa85XvhHYXaFTFk-oOic/w240-h320/Layered%20Floral%20EF.png" title="Layered Floral 3D Embossing Folder" width="240" /></a></div><span style="font-size: medium;">Starting Jan. 4, 2024, a new mini catalogue will be available. In it there are so many new products!</span><p></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Today I am featuring a few of them all on 1 card. One of my favourite items is the <a href="https://www.stampinup.ca/products/layered-florals-3d-embossing-folder?demoid=2002653" target="_blank"><b>Layered Floral 3D embossing folder.</b></a> This folder has so much depth to it. I wanted to show you up close how detailed it truly is. Check it out!<br /></span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">There are a few different ways you can use this 3D EF. </span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">First, use it as is. It will make a beautiful backdrop for any card project.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Second, add ink to the folder before you run it through your embossing machine.</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://s.tamp.in/Dhh-DL" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" target="_blank"><img alt="Layered Floral 3D Embossing Folder" border="0" data-original-height="2522" data-original-width="2070" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh739aao8svwcUt8dK6N7Nk6B1Y0Ti9KVjLcg8d0QN8Xj0PM699sDzwOeSLNxiciSuJ1ylruPYxedYETstQU6kPLMkWyBCwNjN5NbtkbUpQNkmZFTB6j2oALikyZwFez5mXOKft1JCrEiU5ldfYewoyipqsVm5umE_ePiFTYWKhYB3baw79poYkUgvnmu1u/w329-h400/Layered%20Florals%20(1).png" title="Layered Floral Emboss & Blend" width="329" /></a></div><span style="font-size: medium;">Three, add ink to the raised portions of the embossed paper like I have done on my project.</span><p></p><p></p><span style="font-size: medium;">So there is a lot going on with my card. I started with a Bubble Bath card base and added a layer of Highland Heather. I ran the white layer through my embossing machine and then used blending brushes to add the various colours (Bubble Bath, Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather, Parakeet Party & Granny Apple Green). </span><div><span style="font-size: medium;">I then blended the colors with a <a href="https://www.stampinup.ca/products/wink-of-stella-clear-glitter-brush?demoid=2002653" target="_blank"><b>clear Wink of Stella</b></a> to give each flower and leaf sparkle.</span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;">I die cut the purple glimmer paper (part of the <a href="https://www.stampinup.ca/products/three-color-glimmer-12-x-12-30-5-x-30-5-cm-specialty-paper?demoid=2002653" target="_blank"><b>Three Colour Glimmer paper pack</b></a>) with the circles from the <a href="https://www.stampinup.ca/products/everyday-details-dies?demoid=2002653" target="_blank"><b>Everyday Detail dies.</b></a></span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;">Using the same technique of embossing and ink blending I used another new 3D embossing folder bundle for the sentiment - <a href="https://www.stampinup.ca/products/thoughtful-moments-hybrid-embossing-folder-english?demoid=2002653" target="_blank"><b>Thoughtful Moments Hybrid EF.</b></a> This new product bundle features an 3D EF along with a die that allows your to create your sentiments (embossed) and die cut them at the same time. Once the sentiment was embossed and die cut I used a brayer (I can't remember the last time I used a brayer) to add the colour to the surface of the sentiment to make it pop.</span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;">Finally I embossed, ink blended and fussy cut one of the flowers from the <a href="https://www.stampinup.ca/products/layered-florals-3d-embossing-folder?demoid=2002653" target="_blank"><b>Layered Floral 3D EF</b></a> and added it along side of the sentiment & tied a tiny bow using <a href="https://www.stampinup.ca/products/3-8-1-cm-sheer-ribbon-combo-pack?demoid=2002653" target="_blank"><b>Bubble Bath sheer ribbon</b></a>. </span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;">I hope you enjoyed today's project. Stay tuned for more to come!</span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;">Happy stamping,</span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;">Hugs, Tracie</span></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.stampinup.ca/?demoid=2002653" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" target="_blank"><img border="0" data-original-height="365" data-original-width="754" height="97" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQihafzMdl767NeqJaEQCH7dI_Yz4bP5Plzz56JeoW2poHYEp3s_e_8axBNs71A9svQsFUUKWwAQMClQdacKi-LazJiFsx12bHfL7bkkTDEvJwOn2CgZR01aun7wyi0lF5_6YViWEOQ0FD4FmPb4jLFSUnEFMMZ-LMai0DF04-QIfr3-KueKjgOiSG5PiV/w200-h97/Shop.png" width="200" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /><br /></span><p></p></div>Tracie St-Louis - Silver Elite<br>Stampin' Up! Today I am sharing a technique that I taught my club members today. This is a fun fold card that is quite different than others I have seen. It is called a Skyline Card because of the way it stands up. <span style="white-space-collapse: preserve;">Have you tried the Skyline technique for card making? </span></span></p><p><span style="white-space-collapse: preserve;"><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: medium;">It is quite a unique fun fold and not too hard to make. My design uses Merriest Tree dies, Give It a Whirl (tree skirt), Shining Brightly DSP, Melon Mambo & Granny Apple Green foil & the Snowflake Sky embossing folder. </span></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://s.tamp.in/HCPoXg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" target="_blank"></a><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://s.tamp.in/h8IZ-Y" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" target="_blank"><img border="0" data-original-height="1656" data-original-width="2056" height="323" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPUrX1KwSEUfuW5HEKRUlw8Ktj8MLAJu1eg9B6qhBVInTmNwh5T4d4fPcRSXFNfzRFdyvsnejyKN80qXG6K11rh8tdsTKEsB939MlzdgwzLQEUUK9n-z4ts19UFRtui30nye6WMBuojrawWyMfFZJxnYSBXMkg0n-Ov6wGW_3KvPhh9O4FhKuipR9vnopM/w400-h323/Skyline%20Merry%20&%20Bright.png" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: medium;">Don't be intimidated with all the pieces. It isn't difficult to make. </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: medium;">To start you will need 2 pieces of 6 1/2" x 5 1/2" white cardstock, a scoreboard, some foil paper and designer paper. </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: medium;">Each section is 1 1/2" wide and each vary in height starting at 2 1/2" to 5 1/2". <span style="white-space-collapse: preserve;">The card measures 9 1/2" W x 5 1/2" H fully stretched out, but will fold down to fit a regular size envelope.</span></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: medium;"><span style="white-space-collapse: preserve;"><br /></span></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: medium;"><span style="white-space-collapse: preserve;">Before I made the one above I made a (much larger) version of the Skyline Card Technique. This one measures 15" W x 7" H fully stretched out. Here I have used the polar bear scene (I couldn't "bear" to cut this into smaller pieces) of the DSP from Beary Christmas DSP because it lends itself perfectly to show off this stunning artwork. The circle in the middle is backed with a shadow layer of blue foil paper. Both layers were cut with the deckled circle dies. </span></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="white-space-collapse: preserve;"> </span></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: medium;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://s.tamp.in/3o15fU" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" target="_blank"><img border="0" data-original-height="1619" data-original-width="2054" height="504" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-Xu-V1GC5UaBXXNENjDJzA3DUfAeCoDbV5rI2YmKKvoRu5mYBYo72irJke0YEyFUE3Qd_g5N2vNLDH8H6t4J3QfxGzO3Msn4sKruY8rFyNy_ydev62eMxxK9QMVB7mDp35OYaWtM0O5CdVANxigCV2rCL1EVgmTp_Wb3RB9DxUjCqZT628zCEJbUqXSVG/w640-h504/Large%20Skyline.png" width="640" /></a></div><br /><br /></div></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: medium;"><span style="white-space-collapse: preserve;">I hope that I have inspired you to give this technique a go.</span></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: medium;"><span style="white-space-collapse: preserve;">Happy Stamping</span></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: medium;"><span style="white-space-collapse: preserve;">Hugs, Tracie</span></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: medium;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.stampinup.ca/?demoid=2002653" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" target="_blank"><img border="0" data-original-height="375" data-original-width="764" height="98" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLgC78Gk5i9xfG5SjLwoFhgZmpJeAeoHIkjgeRaJSVeR4Q8C77Yr9mgWqiyi9EjAQJAJjMikvzuss2EHF-apMnCVjLq6yF-2Zjok5pQO0JEt1_W-JnEQXiF8Ayviy7qzi_lx2pgu48wm3p4DxNFRUqqZeEm1hbhKX6nMK-936Z2A7IO7cTAoACXmbodHEN/w200-h98/Shop.jpg" width="200" /></a></div><br /><span style="white-space-collapse: preserve;"><br /></span></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: medium;"> </span></div><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: medium;"><br /></span><p><br /></p>Tracie St-Louis - Silver Elite<br>Stampin' Up! Today's card inspiration was drawn from the very talented Jay Soriano - Mitosu Crafts. You can see his design here <span style="color: #2b00fe;">https://mitosucrafts.com/2023/10/beary-cute-fractured-christmas-card-idea-gdp417 </span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">I have put off doing this technique until I saw something that truly inspired me. This technique ~Faux Shutter/Fractured Card technique is so easy. I am using the <a href="https://www.stampinup.ca/products/beary-cute-bundle-english?demoid=2002653" target="_blank"><b>Beary Cute</b></a> stamp set with the <a href="https://www.stampinup.ca/products/snowflake-magic-12-x-12-30-5-x-30-5-cm-specialty-designer-series-paper?demoid=2002653" target="_blank"><b>Snowflake Magic specialty paper,</b></a> <a href="https://www.stampinup.ca/products/winter-meadow-12-x-12-30-5-x-30-5-cm-designer-series-paper?demoid=2002653" target="_blank"><b>Winter Meadow DSP</b></a> and<a href="https://www.stampinup.ca/products/stylish-shapes-dies?demoid=2002653" target="_blank"><b> Stylish Shape dies. </b></a></span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://s.tamp.in/OPMQ65" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" target="_blank"><img alt="Faux Shutter Card" border="0" data-original-height="2448" data-original-width="2062" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBB4YwHzy47oJQOI-4rnSCAr6qZzJ7R-slzi9r1kJt2CqypxTC_GG17X4v07n4h2ppjeaejx7owLzZ3W0CKIsRIgjMcZJDFhufputDnkdZQUVcAB8VA9mLIsrA-SY8K-mGatL6984e8qjDBPiVRC9pk1S9q5l7dBOFIqtokLN83K4LnjkDBUSyKEKCvMxr/w541-h640/Faux%20Shutter%20card.png" title="Beary Cute Faux Shutter" width="541" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: medium;">But, that is not all I have used. If you are like me you have all sorts of paper craft items in your stash and sometimes some of those get lost in the mass of items. Well I decided that I needed to use some of those items. I may have purchased them a couple of years ago, but I bought them for a reason and I really felt they needed to resurface and be shown off.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: medium;">So there is the list of items that I also have used. </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><ul style="text-align: left;"><li><span style="font-size: medium;">sentiment is from Penguin Place</span></li><li><span style="font-size: medium;">ribbon is pool party shear ribbon</span></li><li><span style="font-size: medium;">trees in the back ground are call Christmas Tree dies.</span></li></ul><span style="font-size: medium;">I started with a white card base and layered the Snowflake Magic specialty paper on top.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: medium;">I cut 4 strips of white @ 1/4", The glimmer square (has a bluish tinge) was then layered in the center - popped up on dimensionals. I started with 1 of the white strips and layered it along the top right edge of the square and then continued to layer the remaining strips around the square.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Next I cut a smaller square from dazzling diamond glimmer paper (SU retired) and cut it in half - not a straight cut - but made it wavy to resemble landscape. The polar bear was (mirror) stamped and fussy cut. The tiny trees behind the polar bear are die cut using the Christmas Tree dies and Winter Meadow DSP. I stamped 2 presents on white using Pretty Peacock in and color the strips with Stampin' Blends (Lost Lagoon & Pretty Peacock). Next, I stamped the sentiment in Versamark and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: medium;">And finally I tied a tiny bow using the Pool Party Shear ribbon (retired) and adhered it with a glue dot.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: medium;">I hope you are inspired to try this technique!</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Happy stamping.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Hugs, Tracie</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.stampinup.ca/?demoid=2002653" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" target="_blank"><img border="0" data-original-height="365" data-original-width="754" height="97" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-3Rv2v8AkaEmy3-b6zJzltuSc09vuOpMTc-Z8QNR6ukSSRQLINBatshvwbgglsHZJN7BCD1n9ntOv36GBmkU2k7G4QwSyfK3BDus5a2VjKbtve20sg-ilJ7hPsEzEg3NqbYtRF474DuQpGS-fuKU-XvaF1nOjvJraNX9sYBlC8o-ARWv3tTbVL7muImMa/w200-h97/Shop.png" width="200" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><br /><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span><p></p>Tracie St-Louis - Silver Elite<br>Stampin' Up! Thanks for popping by today. Christmas is on it's way and I have been busy making lots of Christmas cards. One of the stamp sets that I have been using quite a bit is the <a href="https://www.stampinup.ca/?demoid=2002653" target="_blank"><b>Merry & Bright bundle</b></a>. Such a cute bundle with all sorts of Christmas lights & Christmas strings. </span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.stampinup.ca/products/merry-bright-bundle-english?demoid=2002653" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" target="_blank"><img border="0" data-original-height="954" data-original-width="1588" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsCcbygz3wjshtpaMV9gHRVGqxRKIHXDoB9_QBH92-yl34jCXm8_H8TefTPjtBMKN3YjYNhWz0l_RgUgwEV21E-vvZntdxkSteHNQiQAhS0Mfl5HRMmWXNtLB1neutq24NLbf0MzxmmVo8IOlgdCnM68bpFQmaN3VT1Zh1JiFmuPCDJ17H1ZNpsfyCuXck/w400-h240/Merry%20and%20Bright161951.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Today's card switches things up a bit. I am so thrilled with how this card turned out! Never would I have thought that Orchid Oasis ink would make for such a beautiful colour on the Merriest Trees! OoooLaaaLaaa! I love it!. </span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Layering the tree layers onto the Winter Meadow DSP is stunning!</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Check out my card!</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://s.tamp.in/UymAmb" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" target="_blank"><span style="font-size: medium;"><img alt="Merriest Trees" border="0" data-original-height="2016" data-original-width="1862" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuGcRj9kha_WWv67XHlgfSLJq-RIkj955EkmhJsjZJRSAPQVdKxPM8sKqbj2Qi6LCeRKJIQUsJXy7c9qfYB9FxB08PhQjAZ1BN3mOq_VuEpeD9T3OgXxy3HjsUpYKqf-vP07Ah8ug-4eNGWxa3g6FuW6GM6d4TO2QHuvXQH9TnW2nSrG_vxyv9eFnMuY_y/w370-h400/Merry%20Xmas%20Layer%20Starry.png" title="Orchid Oasis Merriest Trees" width="370" /></span></a></div><span style="font-size: medium;">I know it is hard to see, but <span style="font-family: inherit;">I made a tiny bow from the </span></span><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="line-height: 19.26px;">Silver & White Sheer Ribbon – item # 162149 and stuck it to the top of the tree. As I continue on my roll of creating Christmas cards I came up with this idea to combine the <a href="https://www.stampinup.ca/products/patchwork-pieces-dies?demoid=2002653" target="_blank"><b>Patchwork dies</b></a> with the <a href="https://www.stampinup.ca/products/merriest-trees-dies?demoid=2002653" target="_blank"><b>Merriest Tree dies</b></a> along with some of the <a href="https://www.stampinup.ca/products/winter-meadow-12-x-12-30-5-x-30-5-cm-designer-series-paper?demoid=2002653" target="_blank"><b>Winter Meadow </b></a>& <b><a href="https://www.stampinup.ca/products/snowflake-magic-12-x-12-30-5-x-30-5-cm-specialty-designer-series-paper?demoid=2002653" target="_blank">Snowflake Magic</a>.</b></span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Interestingly, I originally created this card using the Lost Lagoon shades from the DSP packs. For some reason I wasn't quite happy with the look. Don't get me wrong it turned out beautiful, but, I wasn't "feeling" the colours.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;"></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7q10P6vE7uDOisnJERdvgfrJ1-EH3PR8V9dimLM-QaIXng2BCVbxXQwEz5lus8aFzzf3aBiXPzPrA9pZ6hT8QOqAMT6FUkLAH92VCn0_CFttH_U8iJfNpqko6ixwlnRtmJ5Nb6UqlIOtM9X8O2VfZqo5IQ7Zd-lcxFRrC9tw8Ci0ZbScyJgjCBeW2zZTg/s2312/Radiating%20Stitches%20Merriest%20Trees.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Patchwork Merriest Christmas" border="0" data-original-height="2312" data-original-width="1921" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7q10P6vE7uDOisnJERdvgfrJ1-EH3PR8V9dimLM-QaIXng2BCVbxXQwEz5lus8aFzzf3aBiXPzPrA9pZ6hT8QOqAMT6FUkLAH92VCn0_CFttH_U8iJfNpqko6ixwlnRtmJ5Nb6UqlIOtM9X8O2VfZqo5IQ7Zd-lcxFRrC9tw8Ci0ZbScyJgjCBeW2zZTg/w333-h400/Radiating%20Stitches%20Merriest%20Trees.png" title="Patchwork Merriest Christmas" width="333" /></a></span></div><span style="font-size: medium;">Here is the first one I made. For some reason it feels like the white and lost lagoon tree patches are too washed out.</span><p></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Initially I had a Lost Lagoon base layer and then I changed it too Pretty Peacock which made it pop more..... but just not quite enough. </span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">This version focal point is the Merriest Tree with the sentiment stamped in the tree. I chose to stamp tone on tone using Pretty Peacock cardstock and ink.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">I layered the tree on a white circle that I embossed with Snowflake Sky embossing folder and added adhesive backed glitter sequins - I LOVE THIS EMBELLISHMENTS!!.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">If you look closely at the card you will see that on top of the card base is a layer of white cardstock that I die cut with the Radiating Stitches dies.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">So feeling "accomplished" with this card, I sat it aside until yesterday. Do you find that sometimes you love the finished card and then when you see it again you're like... hmm...what's "off" with this card. </span><span style="font-size: large;">Well I landed on the colour pallet. It was throwing me off.</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://s.tamp.in/0lunbl" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;" target="_blank"><img alt="Patchwork Merriest Trees" border="0" data-original-height="2142" data-original-width="1862" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1RpITS82WflKwohVNf0yuTuqZpmjXGJPSB0ZV_FGP6E2xshRohtCZ65AUnk_lgd5Xh_SOkjwe1d68-g2GcdfGo-dcAF3VxIcpr9appptDvZzPbQlNewUt3dX1RV73LFYhPof6mDgxLbt_FlFTJx6kHFEVJJ3oygsLY6-o9F-CAZTrh5ibeNkjaXjD5vgd/w348-h400/Radiating%20Stitches%20(1).png" title="Patchwork Merriest Trees" width="348" /></a></div><span style="font-size: large;">So as any crafter would do, I redesigned the card in a different colour pallet using the Winter Meadow & Snowflake Magic DSP. </span><p></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">Crazy! I know but is was bugging me. So here is the redesigned card using the Starry Sky colour pallet..... now I am happy. <br /></span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">I would be interested in hearing which one you prefer. Please leave me a comment below.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">Happy stamping!</span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">Hugs, Tracie</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.stampinup.ca/?demoid=2002653" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" target="_blank"><img border="0" data-original-height="365" data-original-width="754" height="97" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSlR4F0FQpttgXJl2zeWCqmQbmU-rCdoGO5rlZ4Nc3cATzUJ2AiBhPWm-3Xznu7YCmobC5prsIWfCodk12hzSdDtjCr4tPSqNOQv4rH6jajD4_T1WAG-tC5ig22b_SqBVV8AibqaTXx9dPjYNDHQY0YlgN0pxze7_rUUMrErLWZoT7J5InqjSSPUQIzZUg/w200-h97/Shop.png" width="200" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span><p></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></p>Tracie St-Louis - Silver Elite<br>Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by today! As fall starts to set in I have been preparing my "special" Christmas cards - you know the ones.... the ones that are super cool, different, really stepped up and take more time to make than your typical cards.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Well here is one that I just made and taught to my <a href="https://sites.google.com/site/fortheloveofstamping/stampertechclub"><b>Tech Club Gals </b></a>yesterday. It is a Bridge Fold that features the <a href="https://www.stampinup.ca/products/merriest-trees-bundle-english?demoid=2002653" target="_blank"><b>Merriest Trees bundle</b></a>. This bundle is amazing. I think my favourite thing about it are the 5 different sized tree dies!!</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.stampinup.ca/products/merriest-trees-bundle-english?demoid=2002653" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" target="_blank"><span style="font-size: medium;"><img border="0" data-original-height="360" data-original-width="360" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHFeWLkNHonPNcklSvIjCRNx4WGtGaLgfHh8jQxprlBrgRfvg0grsgtVUVR952LjKo6JnYlTFTsOJjf1wA1mdzK2nhIwCgHVX7xZWWJhmBX-eC90H6hUFCrardnksUQEL6RDWm0fCYBD2C3S4gObpdRxTW3TCB1i8Tqn_Z8omjNTt_3FLV9SU5j5i9LF4k/s320/Merriest%20Tree%20Bundle.jpg" width="320" /></span></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Here is my card that I made.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://s.tamp.in/pvD0DY" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" target="_blank"><img border="0" data-original-height="2601" data-original-width="2070" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMvY1HwYjgFvi3dUtTsube1YDzoquq6-GLj8ISVIsyVddkd5BX3cfI8maOSyKGycdpp5ruCbJKvcvoXuY82027ljlsKI9L2qwmuBQZsJ4D7I4tlBOhbjIK-VzEJ0Miu37Au6lDBOBiGj2GU0rvfAlhs5xkFJ6CazX6koaKqg-JHbA8hNIMrUC0aAWeD0xh/w319-h400/Bridge%20Fold%20Xmas%202.png" width="319" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><span style="font-size: medium;">Just look at how the More Dazzle paper sparkles. I used a retired Stampin' Up! set of dies called Christmas Greetings for the "Merry Christmas". I also die cut the tinsel and stars using the <a href="https://www.stampinup.ca/products/more-dazzle-6-x-6-15-2-x-15-2-cm-specialty-paper?demoid=2002653" target="_blank"><b>More Dazzle paper</b></a> and the <a href="https://www.stampinup.ca/products/merriest-trees-bundle-english?demoid=2002653" target="_blank"><b>Merriest Tree Bundle</b></a>.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Check out the height you get with this card. It has been quite some time since I created a "Never-Ending" card. I forgot just how easy it is to make such a dynamic interactive card. Today's card features the Beary Christmas Suite. There are so many amazing products in this suite! DSP, Embossing Folder, Stamps, Punch, Ribbon, Glitter Sequins, Memories and More pack & Cards & Envelops! Check it out <a href="https://www.stampinup.ca/products/beary-christmas-suite-collection-english?demoid=2002653" target="_blank">here</a>. </span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.stampinup.ca/products/beary-christmas-suite-collection-english?demoid=2002653" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" target="_blank"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjaIpPLQKn0UpXqg2jqrsGDbS5ZuZW-y2cFQgimxmzL3Td20jcV-HaW7GfAKqobr8fZffxzLyQFOCiUabGNU4jhGRsgOE3RxLrJJucWUTv4K90Wi-QsL0lEd-HzZR6oMEYASvClR--vXXCO29Vy8BjtsgwWZ_wGewHVs4ZyB8wTEpWOjXMrqsZj4xaCzO5v/w400-h400/162031.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: medium;">I love this suite! There is a great selection of pieces that you can use to make cards and the cardstock is nice and heavy!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The two panels of my Never Ending card are using some of the pieces from this pack! I love this!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Purchase the <a href="https://www.stampinup.ca/products/beary-christmas-suite-collection-english?demoid=2002653" target="_blank"><b>Beary Christmas Suite from my online store</b></a> and I will send you the PDF to make this card!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Happy Stamping!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Hugs, Tracie</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.stampinup.ca/?demoid=2002653" target="_blank"><img border="0" data-original-height="365" data-original-width="754" height="97" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_T1yqj6_AQqphVJw9mOrfkJDsr0A2JTkDZgtQN-z7es37JzYUzFvjc7ibxGV8AjauGY7H8Xm1yw-Gg2UpnkfIGA0Jeb8OwuBIr1X0vTP2fxRRBwkB3fhgamIdb_-1WkfxspUj-Ie7L1pUax2fctVMecGKRGtPkzuAGM4StJ7UUisRvXkSla3DCx4ykr5o/w200-h97/Shop.png" style="background: rgb(255, 255, 255); border-radius: 5px; border: 1px solid rgb(204, 204, 204); box-shadow: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.2) 0px 0px 20px; color: #0600b1; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: medium; padding: 8px; position: relative;" width="200" /></a></div><br /><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /></span></div><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /><br /></span><p></p>Tracie St-Louis - Silver Elite<br>Stampin' Up!
