Give It a Whirl - Interactive Card

Hello crafters and welcome to For The Love of Stamping! Today I am sharing with you a card that I just made using the new Give It A Whirl dies.  I love interactive cards and this new die fits the bill! The Give I a Whirl die allows crafters to create a "View Master" style card - meaning you can spin the sentiment that appears within the window. I love this!

Often times I am asked at work to create a card that can be given "from us all." So, how perfect is this adorable stamp set? The set is called - From Us All.  Don't you just love the expression on the face of the ostrich? I think we all know someone that this could be - LOL!

As you can see by turning the dial on the right side (under my logo) it reveals the next sentiment.

Making this card was a lot of fun. First I created the top layer by die cutting from the Give It a Whirl the clouds, the wheel (under the top layer) and the layer to cover the wheel all from Basic White cardstock. I used Blending Brushes to add some Balmy Blue ink to the make them stand out from the card base as well as a touch of Granny Apple Green at the bottom of the top layer to "ground" my animals.

The next step was to stamp the images (animals and trees)  and colored it with Stampin' Blends after which I cut them out add  adhered them to the front of the card. Here is a list of all the Stampin' Blends that I used:

Granny Apple Green, Cinnamon Cider, Mango Melody, Bronze, Ivory
Smoky Slate, Petal Pink, Color Lifter, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red (see the tiny hearts?)
What I love about the Give It a Whirl dies is that all the edges have "stitching" - which gives a nice touch to a finished project.

Once everything was colored and the sentiments stamped within the window all I needed to do was assemble the card. Stay tuned for a video to follow at a later date on how to assemble the Give It A Whirl interactive dies.

Check out this card in action!
