Creating a Shaped Card with Partial Die Cutting

Ever since I started following Jennifer McGuire I have really enjoyed making different shaped cards. This card uses the partial die cutting technique to create it's shape.

I started with the Charming Florals hot foil plate and created 2 silver foiled floral arrangements and die cut them with the coordinating die. Next I used the coordinating stencils and blended the blues and greens. I created the card base by using the dies to partial die cut the bottom and the hinged top of which I then layered the 2 ink blended pieces too. I am excited with how this card turned out! The final touch are some retired white enamel pieces that I colored with the dark Tahitian Tide blends marker and added to the card

The sentiment is another die (Simon Says Stamp) which I die cut 3 layers of white and 1 layer of Silver foil - adhering them all together to give dimension to the sentiment and layered it onto the Tahitian Tide shadow die cut.

I see a few more of these (in different colors) in my near future. Thanks Jennifer McGuire for your continued inspiration!

Happy foiling!

Hugs, Tracie
