Jan, 2025 Mini Catalogue and SAB Spoilers and Review

Hello stampers! Time for a few spoilers and my review of the upcoming new products!!!  The next mini catalogue and Sale-A-Bration are just around the corner (Jan. 7, 2025) and I wanted to share some new products and my thoughts with you.

This blog post features a number of items from both the mini catalogue & Sale-A-Bration catalogues. What follows is my own personal opinion of the items.

Wildflower Birthday and Everyday Arches

First I want to point out the stunning ephemera that is included with the Wildflower Birthday Specialty paper pack. There are 2 -12 x 12 sheets of die cuts already to use on your projects. Not only are they beautiful but they are so easy to use and makes your projects look so pretty! Stampin' Up! knocked this one out of the ball park! In addition, the DSP is gorgeous! I give them a 10 out of 10 on this specialty paper pack. Price point is $23 Canadian - maybe a wee bit high for my liking.

Next spoiler Everyday Arches dies. FINALLY!!! Stampin' Up! got on the bandwagon and have finally released their own set arch dies. The arches are formatted with a stitched edge and there are a total of 10 nested dies. I can see a lot of use for these in my future! Now you won't find these in the new mini catalogue. Nope! So let me save you the trouble and let you know that Stampin' Up! has put them in the Online Exclusives. Price point I think is on par at $40 Canadian with other companies. I give Stampin' Up! a 9 out of 10. Would have given a 10 out of 10 had SU put these in the mini catalogue and not put them them in the Online Exclusives - which, from what I hear, many people don't like having to go to the Online Exclusives to find things - can't say I don't blame you.

My next product that I am showing here are the Mix and Match Greetings For All ephemera pack. 3 designs - 2 sheets of each. 2 of the designs are white with black text and the other is black with white text. Looks like Stampin' Up! is starting to release this type of sentiment pack where other companies have been doing this for over a year. Better late than never I guess. I am disappointed that the sentiments have Christmas greetings - hey the season is over Stampin' Up! I am also disappointed that they don't have any white with gold text. This is currently popular in the market. I give this a 7 out of 10. Price point is $9.95 Canadian.

Now onto the Sale-A-Bration items. I am using 2 of the items that I earned for free with a $75 (Canadian) net order. So some of you might be thinking, "hey, didn't it used to be a free item with a $60 order?" Well the answer is "Yes". What's up with that? Now you need to spend $75 to earn a free product. Wow! That came as a surprise to me. And honestly I am a bit annoyed with that. I have seen the other items in the SAB catalogue and I am not overly jazzed with the items. But I should wait to pass to much judgement until I see all of the creative things that paper crafters come up with 😜😜.

The first item I am reviewing are the purple adhesive backed sequins. I do really like these. I like the colours (there are 4 shades) and that they have the adhesive on them. I give this a 10 out of 10.
The next item is the embossing folder. It is called Starstruck - honestly I initially thought it was a daisy until I embossed the arch and took a closer look. Oh well - it still works - at least I think it does. I give this an 8 out of 10.

Here is how I assembled my card.
I started with a white card base. I then die cut a layer of white cardstock with the Everyday Arches (coming Jan. 7, 2025) and then embossed the layer with a new SAB embossing folder called Starstruck (free with a net $75 order). The embossed arch was then layered onto some of the DSP from the Wildflower Birthday with foam strips and then adhered to the card base. I glitzed up the card with some sequins, that I earned for free from the SAB catalogue, called Purple Adhesive-Backed Sequins. Finally, I added the sentiment from the Greetings for All Mix & Match ephemera pack.

Well that's all for this post. I would love to hear your thoughts so please leave a comment below and I will respond in kind.
Happy stamping,
Hugs, Tracie
