Stampin' Dreams January 2021 Blog Hop - Something New

Welcome to For The Love of Stamping and the Stampin' Dreams January Blog Hop! Our theme this month is "Something New" - could be a new idea, a new project, a new product... anything "new" and I am excited to show you my "something new"!

Since I got my Blending Brushes on my preorder in Dec.,  have been playing with them non stop! These brushes can be found in the J2J mini catalog on page 70!
For this card, I have stepped out of my "comfort zone" and chosen a color pallet that I have never tried - a "new" color pallet!
I have used Memento, Night of Navy, Rich Razzleberry & Mango Melody with the Blending Brushes to create the background.
Before blending the colors I embossed the flower and leaves from To A Wild Rose in gold embossing powder and then masked them.
They were colored with Stampin Blends in Rich Razzleberry & Night of Navy
For the sentiment I have used the Happiest of Birthdays stamp set - embossing the sentiment in gold, blending Mango Melody and Rich Razzleberry over top and then layering it onto gold foil.

I love how dramatic this is!

I hope that you enjoyed my "Something New" project and are encourage to give it a go!
Be sure to check out the other blogs for more inspirational projects.
