whispered ideas and ribbons mysteriously disappeared, a rather unusual Christmas card came to life.
It had all the things you would expect from a Christmas card…
❄️ A little winter magic.
🌿 A touch of Christmas greenery.
✨ A sprinkle of sparkle.
🎄 And, of course, a whole lot of holiday cheer.
But there was one tiny problem.
This card had absolutely no intention of wearing the traditional red-and-green Christmas colours.
“Oh, my,” whispered the traditional Christmas cards.
“What will people think?”
But this little card simply smiled.
Because Christmas, it decided, doesn't always have to look the way it has always looked.
Sometimes Christmas arrives wearing unexpected colours.
Sometimes snowflakes shimmer in shades you didn't expect. Sometimes greenery looks even more magical when surrounded by a completely different palette. And sometimes the most memorable Christmas cards are the ones that make you stop and say…
“Ohhh… I LOVE that!”
And that is exactly what happened here.
This card took a familiar Christmas feeling and gave it a little bit of a fairy-tale makeover. Instead of following the well-worn path of red berries and green boughs, it wandered down a snowy little trail of colour all its own.
And somewhere along that trail, it discovered something wonderful:
There are no rules saying Christmas has to be red and green.
Who made that rule anyway?
Santa?
The elves?
The Christmas Card Colouring Committee?
Because frankly, I suspect the elves have been far too busy making toys to enforce a colour palette. 😉
So this year, I'm giving Christmas permission to be a little unexpected.
A little whimsical.
A little magical.
And perhaps even a little mischievous.
After all, handmade cards are meant to reflect the person making them. And if your Christmas creativity wants to wander somewhere beyond the traditional holiday colour palette…Follow it. You might just discover your own little bit of Christmas magic.
Because sometimes the best Christmas stories begin with:
“Once upon a time, I decided to try something completely different…”
And this card?
Well…
It lived happily ever after in the Christmas card box.
✨ The End. ✨
Or perhaps…
The beginning of your next Christmas crafting adventure. 🎄
