❄️✨ A Little Snow, A Little Glow & A Whole Lot of Christmas Magic! 🎄

 ❄️✨ Once Upon a Snowy Christmas… 🌲

In a quiet little woodland where the trees stood tall and the snowflakes danced through the air, there was a soft blue winter sky glowing gently in the distance. ✨

Okay… maybe this story happened on my craft table. 😉

But doesn’t this card feel just a little bit like stepping into a Christmas story?

I created the background on Balmy Blue cardstock, using Balmy Blue ink to softly blend the sky while leaving the centre lighter. That little glow behind the trees gives the scene a magical, almost moonlit feeling—as though something wonderful is about to happen just beyond the snowy forest. 🌲✨

And then, of course, there had to be snow. Not just any snow… but the sparkly kind! ❄️ The Adhesive-Backed Snowflakes tucked into the upper left and lower right corners add little touches of frosty magic, framing the scene and making it feel as though the snow has wandered right off the card and into the room.

I imagine this little woodland just after sunset…

The snow is falling softly.
The trees are standing quietly beneath the winter sky.
Everything is peaceful and still.
And somewhere beyond those trees, there’s a warm Christmas glow waiting to be discovered. ✨

Perhaps there’s a cozy little cottage.

Perhaps someone is baking cookies.

Perhaps Santa has already been there and is quietly making his way home. 🎅😉

Or perhaps it’s simply a little patch of Christmas magic waiting for someone to stumble upon it.

And that’s what I love about making handmade cards.

With a bit of cardstock, some ink, a few stamped images and a sprinkling of snowflakes, you can create an entire little world… and tuck it inside an envelope. 💌

So if you find yourself dreaming of snow-covered forests, twinkling lights and Christmas magic, pull up a chair, grab your favourite crafty supplies and let your imagination wander.

Because sometimes the best Christmas stories begin with a blank piece of cardstock. ❄️💙✨
