June Blog Hop - CASE The Catty

Welcome to the Ink~Stamp~Share Monthly Blog Hop
This months theme is to "CASE the Catty". For those of you that may not be familiar with "CASE" it means to "Copy and Share Everything".
So that is what I am doing. I have chosen to copy the image that is on page 51 of the catalog. I have been on the fence for some time now as to whether I should get the Layering Diorama Dies (#155565) and I guess I found a reason as to why "I NEED THEM" - lol.

Here is the sample from the catalog that I am CASING. I absolutely love the sunset background on this card!  Here are the products needed to make this card.

STAMPS:  Sailing Home Cling Stamp Set
PAPER:  Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Soft Succulent,  Basic White
INK:147105 - Balmy Blue, 147109 - So Saffron,  147118 - Gray Granite , 153118 - Misty Moonlight, 155611 - Fresh Freesia, 155670 - Pale Papaya, 155778 - Soft Succulent
TOOLS: Watercolor Pencils Blending BrushesSmooth Sailing Dies, Layering Circles DiesLayering Diorama Dies
EMBELLISHMENTS: - Evening Evergreen  Chevron Weave Ribbon
Now here is my version of the card. I changed up one thing when creating my card.  The card from the catalog used Sponge Daubers to apply the ink for the sunset and my card uses the Blending Brushes. I like the smoothness of the Blending Brushes but find that the water in the catalog sample looks more realistic.  None the less I had fun making this card  and I hope I have inspired you to CASE the catty!  There are so many amazing examples in the catalog that helps to take the guess work out of creating.
